Description

1940 LaSalle Series 52 Coupe (5227)

I bought this car in 1989 to restore. It was originally Black with a TanBedford interior. The car will still require restoration.I purchasedall of the parts it needed (trim, radio, Steele Rubber, RestoredSteering wheel, wiring harness, emblems, etc.) and had a perfect Engine built for it bybuying a LaSalle Block and having it bored out to Cadillac Standard. Then I used N.O.S. WW2 TANK parts, had it blueprinted and balanced by asuper pro restorer. The Engine has never been fired up as I bought ahouse, had a kidetc, etc. It is just sitting in the enginecompartment, but not yet installed.

The chronology of the photos is:
Black and White - 1989
Engine rebuild - 1991-1992
Garage - 2008
Outdoors Current

This car was once owned by Author Don Montgomery.
I have over 20K invested.
Not a disassembled project, it was a running Barn Find that had the engine removed for rebuilding.
