Description

This is probably the nicest Jensen Healey you will ever find (and Iknow, I've had three)! Titled as a 1974, this is an early Mk II car, produced in late December 1973, and has the desirable impoved secondgeneration Lotus 907 all aluminum DOHC four-valve-per-cylinder motor, proper carpets, the delightful four speed manual transmission, and smallbumpers. And I have a fairly nice factory hard top.I have shown this car at four local car shows this fall and taken hometwo trophies, which is something when surrounded by tricked out '60smuscle cars! The photographs tell much of the story. The body is straight and no rustis evident. The front end is beautiful (note the photo of the super clean undercarriage), with a new lower steering column. Recently adjusted valveclearances, new turn signal switch, almost new tires on 15" rims.Pertronix electronic ignition in the Lucas distributor. Nice smoothorigional steering wheel. Excellent oil pressure and no overheating evenin the Florida summer. Flaws? Recently installed the large rubber valve cover gasketsrecommended by the Jensen Healey Preservation Society, but it still has abit of the famous oil leak from the exhaust valve cover. The gas gauge does not read. The tachometer isstuck at 4,000 rpm (that's how it was when I bought it). Small dash topcrack, but I never see it from the driver's seat; you'll notice it doesn'tshow in the normal interior photos. In the last five miles of drivingthere has been a tick from the front end when the brakes are released; notsure what this is, but I will try to get this sorted during the auction, although the brakes still work well.Odometer works fine and I believe it to be correct. In so far as I cantell I think I am the car's second owner; it came from California. I have the clear title in hand.About 40 photos follow as part of this description.
