I HAVE UP FOR AUCTION A 1974 JENSEN INTERCEPTOR III WITH 52,899 ORIGINAL MILES.  IT IS IN COMPLETE ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH THE FACTORY 440 CHRYSLER MOTOR AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THESE CARS CAME COMPLETELY LOADED WITH OPTIONS INCLUDING THE SHEEP SKIN INSERTS ON THE SEATS AS YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES.    I BELIEVE THE ORIGINAL CARBURETOR HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A HOLLEY MADE FOR THIS CAR NOT LONG BEFORE IT WAS PARKED.  WHEN I PURCHASED THIS CAR IT STILL HAD THREE OF THE ORIGINAL MICHELIN TIRES ON IT BUT TWO OF THEM BURST A FEW WEEKS AFTER BEING INFLATED AGAIN.   THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW IN SAN FRANCISCO IN 1976 AND KEPT IN THE BAY AREA BY THE ORIGINAL OWNER UNTIL HE AND HIS WIFE MOVED TO NORTHERN IDAHO IN 2005.  I FOUND PIECES OF TWO ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA REGISTRATION CARDS FROM 1982 SHOWING THAT THE CAR WAS FIRST REGISTERED IN 1976 TWO YEARS AFTER IT WAS BUILT.   THE CAR WAS LAST REGISTERED IN 1984, UNFORTUNATELY WHEN THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO IDAHO IT WAS LEFT OUTSIDE COVERED AND TARPED FOR NINE YEARS UNTIL THE ORIGINAL OWNER DIED AND IT WAS SOLD ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNERS HOME HERE.   THE CAR WAS RUNNING NINE YEARS AGO AND APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SERVICED RECENTLY AT THAT TIME.  THE OIL IS EXTREMELY CLEAN, THE MOTOR TURNS OVER FREELY BY HAND BUT WILL NOT TURN OVER WITH THE KEY.  THE STARTER MOTOR OR SOLENOID NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP IS NOT WORKING EITHER.  MOST OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS SEEM TO BE WORKING, HORN, PARKING LIGHTS, HEATER BLOWER MOTOR, FACTORY 8 TRACK RADIO, ILLUMINATED IGNITION, DOOR LIGHTS, UNDER HOOD FACTORY FLASH LIGHT AND THE PASSENGER ELECTRIC WINDOW.  THE BODY IS EXTREMELY STRAIGHT AND MOSTLY RUST FREE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME KNOWN RUST PROBLEM AREAS.  THE HOOD HINGES HAVE RUSTED OFF OF THE HOOD, THE VALENCE THAT HOLDS THE HINGE POINTS HAS RUSTED, THE BATTERY TRAY HAS SOME RUST AND THERE ARE TWO SMALL RUST SPOTS BEHIND THE FRONT TIRES.  THE REST OF THE BODY, FLOORS, FRAME AND CHASIS ARE 100% RUST FREE WITH ONLY MINOR SURFACE RUST.  THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN REPAINTED AND HAS ONLY A FEW MINOR DOOR DINGS.  IT HAS THE ORIGINAL FIRE EXTINGUISHER / TIRE INFLATOR, THE ORIGINAL JACK AND TIRE TOOLS IN THE ORIGINAL STORAGE BAG. ALSO PICTURED IN THE TRUNK ARE THE ORIGINAL FACTORY HEADREST PILLOWS.   ALL THE GLASS IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  I HAVE THREE COMPLETE WHEEL CENTER CAPS AND THREE OUT OF FOUR OF THE STAINLESS JACKING POINT COVERS.  THERE ARE TWO ADDITIONAL METAL DATA PLATES IN THE CONSOLE, I BELIEVE ONE CAME OFF OF THE DRIVERS SIDE VALVE COVER AND HAS THE 440 ENGINE ID NUMBER ON IT.  MOST OF THE LEATHER IN THE INTERIOR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND COULD BE SAVED AND RE DYED TO LOOK PERFECT.  THE FRONT FLOOR CARPETS ARE MISSING.   PLEASE CALL IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR NEED TO SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS  208-640-3246   THANK YOU!
